Thursday Lenten Soup & Study
February 29 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
During the season of Lent, we will seek to improve our conscious contact with God through shared experiences, connection and reflection. We will gather at table to share in a meal and to engage a new spiritual practice or grounding ritual from presenters with various faith backgrounds.
Using the language of recovery, we will focus on the works of Step 11 of The 12 Steps – “Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood God, praying only for knowledge of God’s will fro us and the power to carry that out.”
Individuals and families of all ages & faiths are welcome in Fellowship Hall Feb. 22, 29 and March 7,14, 21.

Rich was raised in a strict metaphysical home but had lost his faith by age 10 and had fallen into alcohol and later drugs by age 14. He began his 49 years of sobriety from all drugs and alcohol at age 25 and this opened the door to a developing faith and an extended search for a fulfilling practice. Though remaining somewhat eclectic, his path has been centered in a strong, primary indigenous practice for almost 40 years.
